ABOUT THE AXE SERIESSince the release of our original AXE I in 2004 -- we have designed and released the AXE II and III in response to popular demand. All three decks are made from wood and built stiff for performance and control while manuevering through cones at speed. Each deck in the series is pressed from our
SK8KINGS AXE molds made specifically to produce the perfect concave and molded tail foot wedge needed for racing. The AXE Series introduced the practice of mounting the truck in the tail kick -- a revolutionary concept in slalom board design.. Each one is sized to perform for the different needs of the three main slalom disciplines - tight, hybrid and giant slalom.
THE COMPLETE AXE QUIVERThe
AXE I is the tight slalom machine --
the first all wood molded concave board in the modern era of slalom racing. The
AXE II is highly versatile with slightly larger dimensions and a dual wheelbase to switch gears between tighter to looser set courses. The
AXE III is the big daddy of the bunch with even greater dimensions than the II and larger dual wheelbase choices -- perfect for giant and super g slalom courses. With these three boards in your quiver -- you'll be set for anything.
Beginners are especially encouraged to order a complete -- to get the benefit of our expert assembly based on the race proven know how of our AXE Army General Richy "Brown Bomber" Carrasco. New Models Coming: Fat AXE I -- Brown Bomber, AXE 2.5 -- Skully and the first of our SK8Divas Series the Lynn Kramer World Champion TS model. Scheduled release: Summer 2007PROOF IS IN THE RESULTSAs a two-time National Tight Slalom Champion and one of the top ranked pro racers in the world,
Richy Carrasco rides the AXE series decks exclusively. The AXE has taken other pro level racers to the podium such as
Chris Barker (Colorado) and
Marcus Seyfarrth (Sweden) and is the choice of
Lynn Kramer who has four Women's World Championship titles to her credit. Open level racers are quickly moving up the ranks riding their AXE decks -- such as
Brad Jackman who swept the open division at the World Cup races in Paris & Hannover 2007, Art Pryde, Marty Schaub, Ron Olson, Kevin Dunne, Marcus Reitema and Tim Kienitz just to name a few . . .
AXE ARMY WORLDWIDEThe AXE Series is making a distinct mark in slalom racing history on many levels. The series
opens doors to new riders by removing the obstacle of proper equipment selection and allowing them to advance quicker and easier. The affordable price of the AXE decks and completes make it easier to have a complete racing quiver without breaking the bank. Also
every AXE rider becomes part of the AXE Army -- a worldwide collective of racers lead by Richy and the rest of the SK8KINGS team racers. The AXE Army looks out for each other and can always be called on at races for advice and tips.
