Our fearless leader and AXE Army General Richy Carrasco racked up
some impressive victories to his credit this season!
Big Props are in order for the Brown Bomber --

Congrats on claiming two new World Records wth a fast, furious and
sparkling clean 100-cone run at the Can/Am Championship in Antrim
New Hampshire! Record time of 21.179 seconds will be officially recorded
into the Guinness Book of World Records! (Qualifies for two World
Records in one -- overall Pro AND Master's division)

For conquering Turri Road in Morro Bay to become the
2008 US National GS Champion. Now a Three-Time National Champion

RESULT UPDATE: AXE Army Claims 6 New World Records

Final Results are In -- It appears our AXE Army riders have racked up 6 of the two dozen or so new world slalom records set in September 2008. Lynn Kramer and Gary Holl set new world records during the worldwide event weekend and Richy Carrasco set two more at the Can/Am in New Hampshire a couple weeks later. Pretty impressive!

Here are the new world records for SK8KINGS:

Richy Carrasco 100-Cone clean Men Open 21.179
Richy Carrasco 100-Cone clean Men Masters 21.179
Lynn Kramer 100-Cone clean Women Open 22.43
Lynn Kramer 100-Cone w/cone penalty Women Open 22.43

50-Cone
Lynn Kramer 50-Cone Women Open 13.04

25-Cone Cyber
(Unofficial) Gary Holl 25-Cone NCDSA Cyberslalom Men Masters

All records above were set on SK8KINGS slalom decks --
Richy on his signature Brown Bomber AXE I
Lynn on her signature World Champ Lynn Kramer AXE model
Gary on the Skully AXE 2.5

ISSA has compiled all the new records as well as a history document. ISSA is making the new record submission to Guinness to complete the official recording of these results. Have a look at the whole thing if you like here:

ORIGINAL POST:
So Cal -- ISSA World Record Attempt Weekend
Sept. 6-7, 2008

As sanctioned by the ISSA (International Slalom Skateboard Association) we participated in the simultaneous world record setting attempts taking place all over the world. Our attempts happened over two days in San Diego CA. We are pretty happy with the results especially for our women's division dominator Lynn Kramer. Results have not been officially concluded yet but we expect Lynn will have claimed both the 50 and 100 cone world records!

Results:
Lynn Kramer -- Womans Division
50 cone: 13.04
100 cone: 22.43
Not only was this Lynn's fastest time, but it was also a clean run!!

Way to go Lynn -- AXE Army Salutes You!

Richy Carrasco hit 20.77 on the 100-cone course - his fastest adjusted time -- for consideration for the 45 and over Masters division. His best clean run time on this course was 22.01.

Brother Rene' gave it a good go and vows to be back next time.

Big Thanks to Malakai Kingston from Silverfish who braved the heat to shoot pics and helped with the course and timing at the finish line! Heiko and Anna from Germany showed up to sign autographs on their way to the beach. Chris Yandall, Chris Leach and Erik Von were there to root Lynn on to victory. I was on hand of course to document the 100-cone course on video and Erik Von shot the 50-cone.
