Mark your calendars for: Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 1 p.m. Huntington Beach, Edison Park and join the Sk8Kings and Friends again! Rumor has it Frank Lee will be coming out from Georgia too! Edison Park Map:  The park features a kiddy playground, grassy shade areas, covered picnic/bbq pits and a huge area of flat concrete for skating! I wish I could make it down south for this event but my work schedule is too full.

FYI -- the young ripper in the flyer photo is Jacob Butterfield -- our Sk8Kings Mascot! Super cool kid and as sweet as can be too. Jacob and the rest of the Butterfield Clan came out to the June Jam for Go Skateboarding Day which was a blast. Unfortunately, they won't be joining us this time around since Dad has active duty starting up very soon. Keith will be deployed to Afghanistan for several months. We'll miss them and will be looking forward to Keith's safe return! Gary -- totally understand the workload issue. Just spent the last several days immersed in race pics and results getting the CW spread done. Wish you could be here too but I'll bet you're having a Rengstorff session up North - so it won't be all bad.
Frank Lee is in Cali today. Welcome Frank! Everyone is psyched for the Jam.
Big Thanks to Khiro who sent a nice box of goodies for jam schwag. Bob and LouAnn always support -- they are the greatest!
We're planing some other special events too so don't miss it!

Day after the jam and really busy here. Just a quick update for now and more to follow. Thanks to all our special friends who came out to share the day and help us show the visiting European skaters a good time. Lots of talented skaters and good vibes flowing. Special Thanks to Craig Jackman who shot 2 cards worth of pics manning my still cam -- which left me free to shoot video of the action. Can't wait to get through that stuff so we can share the moments on line. It surely was! Our Aug 16 Jam was great and we had some really special guests -- including several top freestyle skaters from Europe - Guenter Mokulys, Christan Heise, Robin Schoof, Stepfan Albert, Erwin, Kai Dunkel and more. Our team rider Frank Lee was here all the way from Georgia to join teammates Kilian Martin, Richy Carrasco, Justin Collins & Chris Yandall. Darryl Grogan, Brett Novak & Eric Kopecky added to the endless action and our good friend Craig Jackman shot 100's of pics throughout the day long jam session. So stoked on everyone who could make it out including long time friend & road warrior Mike Knox & his honey Patti. Like I said -- alot of great skating was going on -- and fun times visiting too. Rich and I interviewed all the visiting skaters too. Thanks to Khiro for the jam schwag -- everybody got something. Took me awhile to get through all the pics that Craig took -- but it was worth it -- Good stuff! Thanks Craig!
