Ok, so I tested some of the prototypes and I believe all the team riders agreed we wanted a thicker outer lip.
Well this week the new wheels came out. Same great urethane with a core to keep the wheels rolling fast. I suspect the wheels are lighter but I'm not sure by how much. The new shape of the outer lip is perfect. It incorporates a thicker lip and sits perfect when your on the rail.
I think everyone should try them!

I took a few photos and you can see them here:

Yes -- it's true. New Jewels are in at long last and we couldn't be happier with the results. Incorporating suggestions from our team riders and other feedback we have made improvements to our already successful design.

Everyone's fave wheel -- now in a softer duro to handle the extremes -- great for rough surfaces or super slick.

In fact, these babies saved the day for the freestyle skaters in Cirque du Soleil in Montreal -- surface was so slick they were slipping all over the place. Emergency shipment of the new CJ 95a duro and they were back on board.

Here's a trick we like too -- straight from Richy Carrasco's mastermind --
Mix the 98a and the 95a Crown Jewels -- 50/50 on your board. That is -- front -- 95a on the toe side (98a on the other side) and reverse that on the back. Gives you the best of both worlds -- great traction and great speed/roll -- all at the same time. Let us know in the notes section when ordering a set and we'll send you a mixed set no problem.
