Claus,
Hi man.. Thanks so much for contacting Sk8kings with your question.. Thanks also for ordering my deck! I love the shape and I really hope it is working for you too. You will be able to learn so many tricks with that deck.. The deck is very stable!

The bottom edges are rounded in order to accommodate many shoe styles, soft rubber, hard rubber.. It was an idea I had a while back and it really works for me.. No matter what shoe I am wearing, I get plenty of grip as I grip the side of the deck with one foot or the other.. It helps me flip the deck for whatever trick I am attempting.. I hope it is working for you too.

Thanks again for the question, please send more questions if you have any.. You can also register on the Sk8kings forum.. Then ou can email me direct there or any of the other team pros. Everyone is very helpful..

Enjoy and thanks again,
I added a picture for you if you want to save it bro, have fun!

I just have a quick question.

I ordered a Keith Butterfield Freestyle board in December. Thank you for
great service. It arrived promtly as always.
I am just wondering. The top side of the board, the edges are not
rounded like you normaly would expect.
They are on the bottom side of the board.
I am just wondering why that is, I am sure it has somthing to do with
the boards performace, but I have never seen a deck designed this way
before, so I am a bit qurious about what the idea behind this way of
shaping the deck was?
Thank you for your time, have a great week, and thanks again for great
service.

Kind regards

Ps. I have included a short freestyle video of me

Hi Keith, I finally made it to the site. How many Dads can be as proud as I am? I bet not many.
The Big Bear (men’s retreat) sounds like it was awesome. When I was 14-15 I use to set pins by hand in the bowling ally for the summers. The pay was tips the bowler / customer gave you. The Bowling ally would put my buddy George & I Up, in a bunk house and feed us for 2 ½ months. This was right at the lake. What Fun it was. So now I know what you were doing when you weren’t doing your chores. Good show son keep up the good / great work.
Love ya.
Dad
