Wow -- had a blast with the CCMF crew in Central Cal this weekend! Nice turnout, lots of action, schwag, newbies and genuine stoke. Thanks to CCMF Jonny Miller & Jay LaPalm for bringing it all together -- excellent hosts for sure!
Richy & I pulled into town on Saturday just in time to tour The Trading Post and get ready for the evening art show. Cool show featuring works by Steve Olson, Lance Mountain, Pat Ngoho, Brad Edwards & Jonny Miller -- topped off with a freestyle jam and e-ticket sleeping bag spin rides for the kids by the Thriller Miller -- inside the art show venue. Later the group treked out to the Ranch for a bonfire-side ramp riding party. Cool to see more heavy hitters like Dave Hackett and Gravity Team Rider Jesse Parker up from San Diego along with many others who came some distances from north and south to join in the fun.
Props to SK8KINGS Team Riders Gary Holl, Lynn Kramer & Jon Bunn for coming out to represent along with Richy and showcase their talents for the tv cameras and crowds on Sunday at the official April Fool's Skate Jam. Special guest appearance by Marcus Reitema who joined SK8KINGS for the demo and Eric Tokle and the Tolley clan who came out to support all the way from Nor Cal.
I'll share some still pics soon. Video by yours truly will be seen on Fuel coming up. The local TV news channel in SLO (KSBY) covered the event and aired a feature segment on their evening news shows Sunday night. Hopefully we can get an air check and put a link here. Stay tuned for more news on all that.
