Jumping on the band wagon on this one since our BMX friend Robin Washington stepped up and announced this combo jam. We're not hosting this event but expect to see some of the SK8KINGS team show up in sunny San Diego.

Been looking for a SD venue for awhile -- hope this works out to be a good one! Cool Robin!

Who else is going?

Just got back from the weekend of racing in La Costa . . . passed out alot of flyers to locals and race enthusiasts -- who were stoked to find out about the flatland jam just one week away! Probably be seeing a good turnout on this one!

Wow -- Pretty cool out there on Sunday. Nice venue -- at the END of the Broadway Pier along the downtown area harbor front. You can drive your car all the way out there and park -- and it's a huge flat asphalt area. Along with all the great freestyle skating and bmx tricksters -- we had a panoramic view of the ocean with sail boats and other watercraft going in and out of the harbor. Nice ocean breeze kept the otherwise hot day nice and cool. At the end of the day -- a giant cruise ship set sail that was docked next door. Pretty cool setting.

Thanks to Robin Washington and Jerry Lopez for hosting the Jam. Some great talent came out to skate -- SK8KINGS Richy C. and Primo D. -- Chinaman, Jester Kim, and surprise guest downhill speedster Kludy -- was bustin some wild multi-deck elbow stands -- almost rolling right off the Pier!! Richy was bustin footwork and all sorts of killer spinning combos -- Primo was on fire as usual with his custom rolling DJ sound system in tow. Chinaman and Jester were throwin down some cool stuff and Chris "Nosewheelie" Sturhan was there too -- space walking his LONG board.

It was a good time for sure. Will post some pics when I have a chance.

Note the video clip is not so "little" at 37 mb -- but if you have broadband -- it's worth the download time.

I receive a monthly newsletter, but I never saw a notice about the upcoming event for sandiego. I sure wish I was informed about it, because I would have been there. Please let me know next time there is a skate jam in sandiego. Thankyou. Sincerely, John Trimble :D
